Dr. Sonia Tinsley returned to Louisiana Christian University in the fall of 2017 serving as the chair of the Allied Health Division, and Assistant Professor of Health and Exercise Science. She has spent more than 25 years in education, 20 in higher education teaching in the field of health education. Dr. Tinsley has made numerous presentations regarding coordinated school health, teacher stress, and female college athletes and stress. She also secured funding to implement coordinated school health initiatives in the state of Louisiana from 2008 – 2010. Areas of research include physical activity and academics, teacher stress, college athletes and stress, worksite wellness, and coordinated school health.
