• Elizaveta Mikhailova has emerged as the breakout star of this up-and-coming campaign, flexing her muscles with another 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Sara Parpinel on the fourth line while her doubles match with Adjowa-Sika Geli concluded after leading 5-3 when the Wildcats won the point.

 

• Geli earned her point out of the sixth slot in singles competition, taking down Rachel McMullan by a 7-5 and 6-4 mark.

 

• #2 seed Raquel Coelho Rodrigues was the third and final Cat to score in two sets, coasting to a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Camila Castro and pairing together opposite Ana Sofia Ferrer Martinez to clinch the critical doubles point on the second flight versus Caroline Johnson / Katharina Bopst (6-4).

 

• Both Patricia Principal Pineda (#3) and Alexandra Cedeno (#5) each gutted out triumphs as individuals by final scores of 4-6, 7-5, 10-5 and 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 to beat Bopst and Johnson, respectively, in addition to pairing up for the top doubles flight (6-2).
