Allie Kyle’s Three Points Guide Wildcats Past North American

 
PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's soccer program had four different student-athletes push through for goals and an additional three players tally an assist as LCU broke back into the win column in a big way, 4-1 over NAU.

Wildcats Top Performers:
 
  • Allie Kyle tied her career-high for points scored, earning a trio for her opening goal in the 12th minute while dishing out the assist on the game-winner as she was rewarded by Coach Ayers as the only Wildcat field player to log all 90 minutes on the pitch.
 
  • Jaycee Woods was the other Orange and Blue clad lady to play the full-time allotment, stopping three shots to earn her league-leading tenth victory.
 
  • Emma Monnet put the home eleven up for good by scoring with one second left in the 30th minute, placing all four of her shots on-target to top all participants.
 
  • Alexa Midkiff has now scored in exactly half of the matches she's appeared in during the 2023 campaign, setting a new personal-best with her fourth goal of the season courtesy of an assist by Alicia Gurrusquieta.
 
  • Taylor Shanas put the contest on ice with her score at the 73:38 mark, staking Louisiana Christian with a three-goal advantage after taking the beautiful ball from Tess Kelder and taking care of the rest.
 
Notes:
 
  • The Cats kept the ball in the offensive zone for the majority of the evening, taking 23 shots and 13 shots-on-goal for a percentage of 56.5% while holding the Stallions to just a half-dozen attempts.
 
  • LCU capitalized on eight corner kicks while not giving up a single one to the visitors from Stafford, Texas as well as committing half as many fouls as NAU (10-5).
