PINEVILLE, Louisiana-- The Louisiana Christian University Lady Wildcats hosted Louisiana State Shreveport and defeated the Pilots 3-1. 

LCU started the match off with two early shots, the second shot by Emma Monet found the back of the net in the 7th minute.  

The Wildcats would shoot four more times to keep the Pilots on the heels of their cleats. The Pilots would commit a foul in the 34th minute to set up Laura Magleau for a penalty kick. She would strike the ball past the goalkeeper for her 2nd goal of the season, moving the score to 2-0. 

Before the 1st half would end, LSUS would push a shot past the LCU defense for a goal in the 42nd minute and make the score 2-1. 

The second half would be much slower than the first, but the Wildcats were still able to add to their scoring total in the 69th minute as Monet would score off an assist from Guinevere Borja. Monet's goal would count for her 6th of the season. 

With the win against the Pilots, the Wildcats move to 3-3 in Red River Athletic Conference play and 5-5 overall. 

LCU will play Louisiana State University Alexandria Friday, October 15 at 1 p.m. on Generals field.
