The Louisiana College Wildcat lady tennis team returned to the courts this past Saturday as they welcomed a busy day of back to back matches. Match one saw them travel to Shreveport to take on Centenary, this would be the second time this year the lady Wildcats have met Centenary as they lost the first go around. While they fought with courage, the ladies lost with a 8-1 score.Â
Emma Hixson and Mckenna Raines got things started off with doubles action, but fell short as they were only able to score a single point. Nobody else could get it going as the ladies went winless and started out with an early 0-3 deficit.Â
Singles didn't see things get much better as the ladies just could not string points together. Molly Edelman secured the only win and point for the lady Wildcats as she won both her singles matches, but all of her teammates fell short. The ladies fall short in this one with an 8-1 score.Â
The ladies will be back in action as they take on conference rival University of the Ozarks on March 30, 2019. For general athletics new follow @LC_Wildcats on Twitter or like Louisiana College Wildcats on Facebook.Â
The Louisiana College lady Wildcats wrapped up their busy saturday as they headed to Marshall, Texas to take on conference rival ETBU. They were coming off a tough loss against Centenary and were looking to bounce back, but they were unfortunately held scoreless throughout the entire contest.Â
Doubles action was just plain dull for the ladies, ETBU came out firing on all cylinders and shutout the ladies in every aspect. None of the Wildcat duos were able to even score a point as they were held scoreless and completely shut out.Â
Singles action was not much better as Emma Hixson scored the only point in her second round to get things started off for the ladies. Everyone else was held scoreless as the ladies produce one of their worst offensive performances all season. The ladies would be defeated with a 9-0 score.Â
