The Lady Wildcats traveled to Hawkins, Texas to face NAIA opposition Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs for the season opener.

Under a warm Texas sky, the Wildcats fell behind early into the first half after Danielle Herrera blasted her shot over Sophomore
Lexi Tate for the first goal.

The Wildcats did put up a fight, creating plenty of chances for themselves, out shooting the Bulldogs eleven shots to seven.

Diana Soto both recorded four shots on goal; Mire hit the post early in the first half after going one-on-one with the keeper.

Haley Clark each played 45 minutes and equally saved three shots on the night.

The best chance for the Cats came late in the second half when Soto beat the keeper but pulled her shot wide of an open goal.

The ladies have a day to rest before their home opener against Texas College Monday night; the game is set to start at 5 p.m.
