PINEVILLE - The Lady Wildcat (29-1, 13-1 in American Southwest Conference play) might have started the season unranked, but as of Wednesday they have spent the last four weeks as the unanimous top team in the nation as voted on by a panel representing the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The American Southwest Conference East Divsion still holds all three of the top three spots in the poll with LC, East Texas Baptist (23-3) and Texas-Tyler (20-4) occupying the respective slots.
Also in the top 25 is Mississippi College, the fourth-place team in the ASC East, which checked in at No. 14.
