Jackson, Miss. - The Wildcats are in fourth place and four Louisiana College golfers are in the top 20 after the first day of the Lake Caroline Invitational.

The Wildcats, led by team captain Caleb Stark, posted a first-round 317 to check in behind Millsaps (308), Mississippi College (309) and Freed-Hardeman (311).

Stark had the best day of the four Wildcats in attendance, shooting a first-round 78 to check in at 11th place.

Freshman Tung Nan-Lin is in 13th after a 79 and Dillon Dunbar and Chris Willis are tied for 17th after opening rounds of 80.

Travis Ross of Freed-Hardeman is atop the leaderboard with a 72.

The tournament wraps on Tuesday.
