LC women fall to Belhaven to end road trip

JACKSON, Miss - The Lady Wildcats dropped to 0-2 on the young season here Thursday night after a 5-0 loss to the Belhaven Blazers in the last of a two-game, season-opening road trip.
LC, which lost 6-0 to Millsaps on Wednesday, had to ward off 13 corner kicks and 12 shots on goal during the game.
The frequent Blazer attacks led to two Belhaven goals in the first half and three in the second.
Sophomore goalie Emily Breaux (Lafayette, La./Lafayette HS) was able to register seven saves on the game.
The Lady Wildcats will get a brief reprieve before playing their home opener on Sept. 7 at 5 p.m.
