PINEVILLE - The Louisiana College Softball program has announced its 2010 summer camp schedule.
This year, the Lady Wildcats will host six four-hour sessions (June, 14, June 21, June 28, July 12, July 19 and July 26).
Camp directors will be Tim Whitman (LC Head Coach and two-time LSWA softball coach of the year) and LC assistants Andria Waguespack and Danielle Price.
Members of the LC Softball Team will be working directly with all participants on hitting, pitching, catching, and defensive fundamentals.
All camp dates will fall on a Monday and start at 3 p.m.
The focus on June 14 will be hitting and outfield defense. June 21 will be hitting and Pitchers/Catchers (pitchers bring own catcher), June 28 Hitting, Slapping and Baserunning, July 12 Hitting and Middle Infield Defense, July 19 Hitting and Corner Defense and July 26 Hitting and Pitchers/Catchers (pitchers bring own catcher).
The cost is $50 per session or $250 is attending all sessions.
Space is limited to the first 20 paid campers per session and all payment must be received to reserve your spot. Payment is due at the time of registration. Partial payments will not be accepted.
Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to each session.
Campers are responsible for providing all equipment.
Registration fees are non-refundable. The camp director reserves the right to remove, without refund, anyone whose conduct is detrimental in any way to members of the staff or other campers.
All campers must have their own accident and health insurance. A copy of camper's insurance card and emergency contact information must accompany camp registration form prior to the start of camp. No camper will be allowed to participate without this information.
The NCAA prohibits payment of camp expenses by representatives of LC athletic interests. Furthermore, NCAA rules prohibit free or reduced camp admission privileges for prospective student-athletes in the 9th grade or above.
