After day one of the Louisiana College-Mississippi College Spring Invitational, the Louisiana College men's golf team finds itself in sixth place in the nine-team field.

Texas-Tyler, McMurry, Texas Dallas, Mississippi College and Texas Lutheran are atop the leaderboard with Millsaps, Hendrix and Belhaven occupying the spots below LC.

John Willie was the top individual performer for the Wildcats in the first round with a 79, good enough for ninth place.

Chas Cranford had a top 20 finish with a first-round 83 (tied for 19th) while Eilliot West sits in a tie for 28th with an 87, Caleb Stark in a tie for 33rd with a 90 and Darin Moore in 46th with a 110.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday, weather permitting.
