PINEVILLE - The Louisiana College softball team knows how to make a big splash on the national scene. After starting the season unranked, the Lady Wildcats stormed to No. 14 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 poll.

LC, which sits at 6-0 heading into Friday and Saturday's American Southwest Conference First Pitch Tournament in the Dallas area, is coming off back-to-back-to back sweeps of Millsaps, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Southern University.

Beginning Friday at 10 a.m., the Lady Wildcats will attempt to improve their undefeated record with a 10 a.m. game against Howard Payne and a 3 p.m. contest versus Mary Hardin-Baylor.

On Saturday, LC will face Schreiner at 10 a.m. and Sul Ross at 3 p.m. to close out the ASC First Pitch Tournament, one which pits teams from the ASC East exclusively against teams from the ASC West.
