PINEVILLE - To the victors go teh post-season honors. A few short weeks after leading the Louisiana College women to their first American Southwest Conference Tournament title, ASC East Division Title and NCAA Division III tournament appearance, LC coach Janice Joseph-Richard and junior post player Tillisha Givens have both been honored on the 2009-2010 D3Hoops.com All-South Region team.
Joseph-Richard was named the region's coach of the year while Givens earned a spot on the second team after coaching the Lady Cats to a 24-3 overall record, which included a 17-2 mark in ASC play and a 15-0 mark at home.
Givens was the team captain for LC and lead the Lady Cats in scoring with 404 total points (15.5 pts/game average) in addition to pulling down 217 rebounds (8.3 rbs/game average), making 51 steals, dishing out 23 assists and blocking three shots.
