Final Standings
DELHI, La. - The Black Bear course played tough throughout the 2010 Louisiana College-Mississippi College Spring Invitation Tournament, with no golfer from any of the nine participating schools posting a sub-par performance.
The Wildcat golfers were no exception but managed to make a respectable showing despite the tough play, taking sixth place in the team competition and landing two of their five golfers in the top 25.
Texas-Tyler won teh team compettion with a two-day combined score of 613 (37 over par), with McMurry (632), Mississippi College (640), Texas Dallas (648), Texas Lutheran (670), LC (677), Millsaps (683), Hendrix (742) and Belhaven (DNF) following in that order.
In individual play, Texas-Tyler's Jacob Welsch was the winner with a two-day total of 145 (one over par).
The remainder of the top five consisted of McMurry's Nich Mehigan (149), Texas-Tyler's Joey Rippel (151), McMurry's Matt Ragoiun (153) and a fifth-place tie between Mississippi College's Ryan Ratcliff and Texas-Tyler's Brandon Ellis (157).
Chas Cranford was LC's top finisher, with his two-day score of 165 (83 on day one and 82 on day two) putting him in a tie for 19th.
John Willie was next highest for the Wildcats with a 23rd-place 166.
The other LC golfers finished as follows: Elliott West (28th, 172), Caleb Stark (30th, 174) and Darin Moore (44th, 204).
