Pineville, La. - for the second straight week and the third time this season, LC junior Tillisha Givens has been named American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week. Givens (Monroe, La./Ouachita Parish High) earned her most recent honor after pacing the Lady Cats in two conference wins last week, LC's 10th and 11th consecutive victories. Last Thursday, Givens flirted with a triple double versus ETBU, scoring 11 points and pulling down 12 boards to go along with six steals. On Saturday, she followed with 14 points in limited duty in a blowout win over LeTourneau. For the week, Givens averaged 12.5 points and eight rebounds while shooting 60 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free-throw line, all this while setting LC up for a potential sealing of the ASC East crown should the Lady Cats defeat Mississippi College at home Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m.
