CLINTON, Miss. – The men's and women's cross country teams at Louisiana College wrapped their respective seasons Saturday, each taking ninth in the American Southwest Conference Cross Country Championships at Choctaw Trails.
In the men's race, one in which Tino Gonzales of Mississippi College won the individual crown and MC the team title, LC's top finisher was Jesse Rosier, who placed 40th with a time of 33:50.91.
Other top men for the Wildcats included David Thomas (67th, 37:55.20), Brian Verret (68th, 37:58.76), John Lombard (72nd, 40:15.30) and Joseph Buzzeta (73rd, 41:13.29.
In the women's race, which was won by McMurry's Carla Lewis in the individual competition and Texas-Tyler in the team competition, LC's top finisher was Stephanie Baer, who placed 38th with a 29:33.65 effort.
Other top finishers for the Lady Cats included Rachel Quarles (60th, 32:51.81), Ashley Dufrene (70th, 35:30.74), Hannah Lanier (35:53.87) and Katie Hartzog (74th, 36:39.90).
