PINEVILLE - For the seventh time in 10 weeks, a member of the Louisiana College football team has earned Player of the Week in the American Southwest Conference.
LC freshman cornerback Reggie Calhoun (New Orleans, LA / Slidell HS) had two interceptions – including one returned 41 yards for a touchdown – to help lead the Wildcats to a 55-13 win over McMurry and as named ASC defensive player of the week. Calhoun also posted six tackles and broke up three passes to allow LC to wrap up a 7-3 season.
The other honorees this week were Mary Hardin-Baylor offensive linemen Dustin Davis, Ryan Krause, Myke Gobert, Nate Menkin and Max Taylor (offensive players of the week) and Sul Ross kick Michael Van Wagner (special teams).
