Hardin-Simmons sweeps LC soccer

ABILENE, Texas – The highly-regarded Hardin-Simmons soccer programs were too much for the young-but building Louisiana College men and women Friday.
The HSU men captured a 4-1 decision over the Wildcats while the HSU women downed the Lady Cats 11-0.
In the men’s game, Edgar Narvaez found the back of the net for the Wildcats thanks to an assist from Doug Jackson and goalie Joe Saverino made eight saves.
In the women’s game, the Lady Cats did not manage a shot on goal but did have another gallant effort from goalie Emily Breaux, who faced 26 shots on goal and made 15 saves.
Both the men and women return to action today. They won’t actually have to leave the city of Abilene, however, as they will face McMurry.
