PINEVILLE, La. - During the summer, many collegiate baseball players refine their skills at different collegiate summer leagues throughout the United States.  LC right handed pitcher Greg Uzee is no exception.  Uzee has taken his talents to the Clark Griffith Collegiate Baseball League in Virginia.  For his efforts last week, Uzee was named the league's Pitcher of the Week.

PINEVILLE, La. - Louisiana College softball coach Tim Whitman has been named the Louisiana Coach of the Year among all college coaches in the state.  Also, Rene' Schwartzenburg, McCaslin Carson, and Caitlin Bankston were all named second team All-Louisiana.  The awards are especially prestigious because LC is one of only two non NCAA Division I teams in the entire state.

PINEVILLE, La. - The Louisiana College baseball team set an American Southwest Conference record in placing 16 student-athletes on the American Southwest Conference All-Academic Team.  Overall, 31 student-athletes from five spring sports were named to their respective sport's ASC All-Academic Team.
