SALEM, Vir. - The Louisiana College softball team took time out from their schedule the day before the NCAA III College World Series starts to visit an elementary school in Salem, Vir.  The Lady Wildcats visited Burlington Elementary School in conjuction with the NCAA as a community service outreach project.  The Lady Wildcats spent 45 minutes at the school, visiting with kinergartners and first graders.

PINEVILLE, La. - The Louisiana College softball team will face Rhode Island College in the opening game of the 2008 NCAA III Softball World Series.  The Lady Wildcats and the Anchorwomen will square off at 10 a.m. Central Time, Friday, May 16.  LC (42-5) is the number one seed and RIC (36-7) is the eight seed for the tournament.  There will be live audio and video available through the interent.  Stay tuned for links to the audio and video.  Click on the story title for information on each World Series Participant.

TYLER, Texas - The Louisiana College softball team downed fellow American Southwest Conference member Mary Hardin-Baylor 6-2, to win the Tyler Regional and advance to the NCAA III Softball World Series in Salem, Vir. Play in the World Series begins Friday, May 16th.  Stay tuned to this website for more details concerning the World Series.  LC will face Rhode Island College in their first game of the World Series.
